SK Group has decided to combine its first-half strategy meeting and its knowledge management platform "Icheon Forum," which had been held separately.
According to industry sources on the 15th, SK Group will hold the "New Icheon Forum" for three days from July 11 to 13 at the SKMS Institute in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. The aim is to maximize execution by merging the previous June management strategy meeting with the August Icheon Forum. SK Group plans to make the New Icheon Forum an annual June event.
The Icheon Forum was first held in 2017 at the suggestion of SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and marks its 10th edition this year. It has established itself as a public forum where leading domestic and international scholars — such as world-renowned futurist Jeremy Rifkin — and internal and external experts discuss global industry trends, innovative technologies, and future business directions. That is why it is called "SK's Davos Forum."
The key theme of this year's forum, whose stature has been further elevated, is "AI acceleration." Chairman Chey Tae-won and CEOs of major affiliates including SK Innovation, SK Telecom, and SK hynix are expected to gather to intensively discuss concrete action plans for securing leadership in the AI industry and group-wide synergy strategies.
