HDC Hyundai Development (294870.KS) is launching a competition to expand technical collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The structure aims to discover innovative technologies, apply them to construction sites, and link them to commercialization, strengthening the company's shared-growth model with SMEs.
HDC Hyundai Development announced Tuesday that it will host the "2026 IPARK Technology Proposal Contest" to expand win-win cooperation with SMEs and lead the future construction industry.
Now in its fifth year, the contest was created to discover innovative technologies that enhance the competitiveness of the construction industry and promote shared growth with SMEs. Anyone with ideas for technologies that can create new value at construction sites can participate. Selected technologies will undergo testing, and those proven to be effective will be given commercialization opportunities for on-site application.
The main recruitment categories are new technologies and construction methods, as well as smart construction (DX/AX), covering all technologies applicable to construction sites. Specifically, the new technologies and construction methods category includes all areas such as construction, quality, and safety management, while the smart construction category covers AI, big data, platforms, drones, the Internet of Things (IoT), and sensors.
Applications can be submitted through HDC Hyundai Development's official website until the 25th of next month. The process will then proceed through the first-round review next month, the second-round review in June, and the presentation review in July, with final selection and awards taking place in August.
"We receive an average of about 70 applications, and last year Eugene Corp. presented a technology that controls the occurrence of internal cracks in concrete using latex particles," an HDC Hyundai Development official said. "This technology is currently being expanded and applied to HDC Hyundai Development's construction sites nationwide."
