The Korea Land and Housing Corp. (LH) on Monday launched the full-scale operation of "Neulbom A-Eye," an artificial intelligence-based real-time integrated monitoring system.
Neulbom A-Eye is designed to prevent safety accidents involving construction site workers and residents of purchased rental housing. At its core is a "prevention-focused" safety management framework built in line with the government's AI transformation (AX) policy for public institutions.
The system operates based on CCTV footage and IoT sensor data installed at construction sites and purchased rental housing units. AI detects and analyzes hazardous situations in real time, then immediately sends alerts to on-site managers.
At construction sites, the system detects workers not wearing safety helmets, falls, entrapment by heavy equipment, and fire or smoke. In purchased rental housing, external CCTV captures suspicious individuals, illegal waste dumping, and residential fires.
LH raised the detection accuracy to 95% by applying a generative AI vision language model (VLM) that understands visual information and assesses risk. Through this, the company expects to reduce the safety accident rate by more than 23%.
The control system has also been overhauled. The existing multi-tiered structure (site-regional headquarters-headquarters) has been simplified into a direct "site-to-headquarters integrated control center" connection. A web-based open system has been introduced to allow on-site personnel to access it anytime and anywhere.
LH will begin operations this month at construction sites nationwide and at purchased rental housing units in North Jeolla Province. The company plans to expand the scope to purchased rental housing in non-metropolitan areas by the middle of next year. System upgrades, including mobile app development, expanded personnel and equipment management functions, and the addition of earth and stone history management, are also underway.

"We will continue our work innovation to lead Korea's leap to becoming one of the top three AI powers and to build a society where life and safety come first."
