
Korean Air (003490.KS) said Monday it received 13 awards in the in-flight service category at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo 2026 (WTCE 2026), held at Hamburg Messe in Germany from Tuesday to Friday local time. WTCE, the world's largest onboard services industry exhibition, is organized by global events company RX and draws airlines, catering specialists and rail operators from around the world.
At the 2026 Onboard Hospitality Awards, hosted by U.K. aviation, rail and cruise publication Onboard Hospitality, Korean Air won in four categories: first-class amenity kit, first-class in-flight loungewear, premium-class bedding and premium-class tableware. At the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards, the carrier took home five honors, including a five-star certification for in-flight amenities selected by global passengers, first-class amenity kit (men's), first-class in-flight tableware, first-class in-flight bedding and a souvenir for passengers aged 6 and under. It also won four awards in the Asian airline category at the 2026 PAX Leadership Awards.
"These awards are the result of our efforts to improve service, including a complete overhaul of in-flight items such as amenity kits, bedding and tableware, in line with the new corporate image introduced last year," Korean Air said.
