
The KOSPI and KOSDAQ indices along with exchange rates are displayed on monitors at Hana Bank's headquarters dealing room in Jung-gu, Seoul, on April 14, as the benchmark KOSPI index crossed above 6000 during intraday trading amid expectations for ceasefire negotiations between the United States and Iran.
The KOSPI recovered the 6000 level for the first time since the outbreak of the U.S.-Iran war before closing at 5,967.75, up 159.13 points or 2.74 percent from the previous trading day.
