Hyosung (004800) has donated funds to support medical rehabilitation for children with disabilities and psychological treatment for their families.
Hyosung announced on the 10th that it delivered 130 million won in donations for the "2026 Medical Rehabilitation and Family Support Program for Children with Disabilities" at the Purme Foundation located in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 9th.
The donation was prepared to support children with disabilities who need rehabilitation treatment, non-disabled siblings who tend to be relatively neglected during the caregiving process, and families bearing the burden of care. The donation will fund treatment for 20 children with disabilities and provide education and psychological therapy for 15 non-disabled siblings.
Hyosung has been supporting rehabilitation treatment costs for children with disabilities in partnership with the Purme Foundation since 2013. Starting in 2014, the company expanded its support to include education and psychological treatment for non-disabled siblings.
Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon has consistently emphasized that "corporate growth is more meaningful when achieved together with local communities" and that "we must continue supporting families of children with disabilities so they can maintain stable daily lives."
Meanwhile, Hyosung continues various social contribution activities to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, including supporting creative activities and curated exhibitions by artists at the Seoul Disability Arts Creative Center and sponsoring the production of barrier-free films for visually and hearing-impaired audiences.
