DL E&C (375500.KS) is partnering with Seoul's Gangseo District to provide creative arts education for local youth, marking an expansion of DL Group's corporate social responsibility activities into the education sector.
DL E&C announced Thursday that it signed a memorandum of understanding on creative arts education CSR with Gangseo District at the district office on Wednesday, with Gangseo District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon and DL E&C CEO Park Sang-shin in attendance. Under the agreement, DL E&C will operate educational programs utilizing its human and material resources, while Gangseo District will provide administrative support to facilitate student participation.
DL Group has been conducting CSR activities across various areas, including housing environment improvement, safety education, cultural and arts education support, and environmental cleanup. DL E&C has operated creative and convergence education programs for elementary school students in Jongno-gu since 2022, gradually expanding the initiative each year. This year, the company plans to extend the program to Gangseo District, where its headquarters is located, offering the program to all grades at Jeonggok Elementary School in the first half of the year.
The educational program is redesigned annually in conjunction with exhibitions at the Daelim Cultural Foundation. This year's theme, "Kids Workroom Visits: The Collector's House," offers students an experience to explore their own tastes and express them through the concept of a house as a space.
"We will continue to expand our educational CSR activities to help local communities and future generations grow together," a DL E&C official said.
