Korail Retail has held an appointment ceremony for 20 new employees for 2026 and launched a four-week practical training program focused on organizational adaptation.
Korail Retail, led by CEO Park Jung-hyun, announced Monday that it held the new employee appointment ceremony. A total of 2,577 applicants competed for the positions, resulting in a competition ratio of approximately 129 to 1. Through fair procedures including document screening and interviews, 20 candidates were selected across various fields including general management and vending machine operations. The recruitment notice was posted in January.
The new employees will receive introductory training for four weeks starting from the day of the appointment ceremony. The program includes practical training from in-house job instructors and on-the-job training (OJT), supplemented by external professional instructors teaching generative artificial intelligence (AI) and business etiquette to enhance practical competitiveness.
"The fresh perspectives and small changes from new employees will shape Korail Retail's future," CEO Park said. "I hope you will not hesitate to actively share your ideas, even small ones."
Korail Retail earned the "Fair Recruitment Excellent Organization Certification" for the third consecutive year last year.
