Kia's (000270.KS) Sportage Hybrid has been named the best value sport utility vehicle (SUV) by a leading U.S. automotive media outlet.
Kia's U.S. subsidiary said Thursday that Cars.com selected the Sportage Hybrid as the No. 1 compact SUV in its 2026 Best Value New Car Awards.
The Sportage Hybrid has topped the compact SUV category for three consecutive years from 2024 through this year. Cars.com noted that the Sportage Hybrid maintains best-in-class price competitiveness while offering impressive fuel efficiency and a rich array of safety features.
"The Sportage Hybrid is a complete package that balances power, fuel economy, technology and value," said Eric Watson, vice president of sales at Kia America.
Models from Hyundai Motor (005380.KS) also featured prominently in the Cars.com awards. The redesigned 2026 Hyundai Palisade took the top spot in the midsize SUV value category, while the Hyundai Ioniq 5 was recognized in the electric vehicle category.
