Namyang Dairy said Monday it distributed its "Family Scholarship" grants in the first half of this year, a program designed to ease the education cost burden for children of its distributors.
The Family Scholarship, first introduced in 2013 as the dairy industry's first mutual-growth support initiative, operates on a biannual basis every first and second half of the year. A cumulative total of approximately 1.64 billion won has been awarded to 1,244 recipients to date.
Beyond the scholarship program, Namyang Dairy has maintained a range of mutual-growth initiatives. In 2013, the company launched mutual-growth meetings where executives and distributor owners regularly discuss on-site improvement tasks and policy directions. The company has also steadily expanded welfare programs including △sales support programs, △long-service awards, and △family event and childbirth supply assistance. Following its management transition in 2024, the company further broadened its support by introducing a low-interest credit loan program for distributors.
As a result, Namyang Dairy has received top ratings for three consecutive years since 2022 in the Fair Trade Commission's evaluation of fair trade agreement compliance in the distributorship sector. The company was also selected as a "Distributor Partnership Enterprise" for three straight years.
Meanwhile, Namyang Dairy has been focusing on management normalization since transitioning to the Hahn & Company management structure in 2024, strengthening compliance and ethical management. The company introduced a responsible autonomous management system and a workout program to improve decision-making efficiency. It also ended a five-year streak of losses, successfully turning to an operating profit last year.
"We hope the Family Scholarship eases distributors' education cost burdens and provides meaningful support for their children's growth," a Namyang Dairy official said. "We will continue to practice mutual growth with our distributors and maintain stable cooperative relationships."
