Lotte Biologics has proven its competitiveness by winning at a prestigious global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) awards ceremony.
The company announced Monday that it received an award at the 2026 CDMO Leadership Awards, hosted by Outsourced Pharma and Life Science Connect. The awards evaluate companies based on comprehensive assessments of capabilities, quality, reliability and service, drawing on evaluations from decision-makers at global pharmaceutical and biotech firms that have collaborated with nominees within the past 24 months. Starting this year, the addition of independent review by the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development (Tufts CSDD) has further strengthened the awards' objectivity and credibility.
Lotte Biologics won the "Best New or Relaunched CDMO" category. This award is given to companies that have successfully entered the market or restructured their business and earned strong trust from global partners through differentiated competitiveness and a clear strategy.
The award marks an achievement reached just four years after Lotte Biologics' launch. The company has rapidly raised its brand recognition in the global market while earning official recognition from clients for the quality and execution capabilities of its CDMO services.
Industry observers have particularly noted Lotte Biologics' "dual site" strategy. Analysts say the company has built trust among global clients on the back of approval experience from more than 62 global regulatory agencies and expansion into antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) modalities.
Lotte Biologics plans to accelerate its push into the next-generation bio market by expanding its business portfolio from antibody drugs to ADCs, centered on Songdo Bio Campus Plant 1, which is scheduled for completion in August.
"It is meaningful that we have won a credible global CDMO award within a short period since our launch," a company official said. "We will continue to grow into a leading company that adds real value to the global bio ecosystem."
Meanwhile, Lotte Biologics is currently operating a dedicated meeting room at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel during DCAT Week, continuing discussions to expand strategic partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies and biotechs.
