
Korea's three major department store operators — Lotte, Shinsegae and Hyundai — have simultaneously kicked off their spring seasonal sales, ramping up efforts to attract consumers. The retailers are notably expanding experiential events targeting spring outing demand.
According to the retail industry on Friday, Lotte Department Store will hold its "Spring Sale" across all locations from March 27 through April 5, marking the first regular sale of the spring season with some 360 brands participating.
Fashion items will be offered at discounts of up to 50%, while seasonal accessories such as hats and scarves along with jewelry will carry discounts of up to 30%.

Alongside the sale, Lotte plans to draw spring visitors with a variety of content including "Gourmet Week," "Wine Week," a wedding fair and pop-up stores. Lotte World Mall will also host pop-up stores for Van Cleef & Arpels Perfume and Pottery.
Shinsegae Department Store will run its "Only Shinsegae Sale" at all 13 nationwide locations from March 27 through April 12, with approximately 400 brands participating. The sale will feature competitively priced products across categories including men's and women's fashion, sportswear, children's goods, home and living, and accessories. A season-off special event will offer select popular items at discounts of up to 70% in limited quantities.
During the event period, Shinsegae will also hold its large-scale wine event, "Shinsegae Wine Festa." Individual stores will run various offline events including designer brand pop-ups, golf experience programs and children's experiential content, while a "Global Shopping Festa" targeting foreign tourists will also take place.

Hyundai Department Store will likewise hold "The Sale" at all nationwide locations from March 27 through April 12. About 200 brands are participating, with discounts of up to 50% centered on fashion, accessories and sportswear.
Hyundai Department Store has also strengthened large-scale events and experiential content at individual stores. Its Pangyo and Mokdong locations will host the "Spring Golf Festival" featuring discounted golf apparel, while the Trade Center branch will hold a Nike discount event. The Pangyo store will also feature a large bear balloon exhibition, and The Hyundai Seoul has prepared experiential content including a pop-up store for virtual idol "OHWIS" and a media exhibition.
