The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 23rd that it will hold a briefing session on construction work standard estimation rates and standard market unit prices with the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology.
The briefing will take place at 2:30 p.m. on the 27th at the CG Art Hall on the second floor of the Construction Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The session was organized to help government project owners and private construction industry professionals understand practical applications, as proper cost estimation is crucial for preventing construction safety accidents.
The briefing will introduce the systems, regulations, and revision procedures for standard estimation rates and standard market unit prices. It will also cover major revisions made this year, application methods, and points to note when calculating construction costs. In particular, the session will focus on explaining content that practitioners find difficult to interpret, based on frequently asked questions received through the Government Civil Petition Portal and the Construction Cost Management Center website. A Q&A session will also be provided for on-site attendees.
Practitioners wishing to attend can register in advance through the Construction Cost Management Center website by the 25th.
