The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA are hosting the "Export Voucher Plaza" to support overseas market entry for companies selected for the export voucher program and to present effective voucher utilization methods.
The ministry and KOTRA announced that the Export Voucher Plaza will be held at COEX in Seoul on the 17th, providing participating companies in the industrial voucher and emergency support voucher programs with consultation on how to effectively use vouchers across 14 service categories. The event features seminars for participating companies, special exhibition zones, business matching consultations, and a comprehensive export consulting center. Live commerce experiences—increasingly popular as overseas marketing tools for Korean consumer goods companies—and expert consultations on trade barriers and trade fraud prevention are also scheduled.
The export voucher program allows small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies to freely select various export support services using government-issued vouchers. As of last year, the ministry's export voucher funding totaled 145.7 billion won, supporting 3,143 SMEs and mid-sized companies.
The seminar will feature presentations on successful voucher utilization cases, allowing participating companies to share their experiences and strategies for achieving actual export results. The Ministry of Justice will also directly provide guidance on trade fraud prevention and response strategies. The event will explain voucher service menu utilization methods and procedures, and Meta Korea (Facebook Korea) will deliver a special lecture on digital marketing strategies for entering emerging markets.
The special exhibition zones will offer hands-on experiences with various services needed throughout the export process, from digital marketing to legal consulting. Through the live commerce program, influencers from China and Vietnam will promote and sell products from voucher-participating companies in real-time via Instagram Live broadcasts.
Participants can also access the "Trade Barrier Emergency Support Service" to address various tariff and non-tariff trade barriers. Leading domestic logistics companies will introduce services helpful for Middle East logistics situations, while law firms and customs brokers will provide consulting services related to U.S. tariffs. Legal officers and attorney advisors from the Ministry of Justice's International Legal Affairs Division will provide on-site legal consulting for trade fraud prevention and response.
Business matching consultations, one of the event's main programs, will feature one-on-one sessions between export voucher participating companies and excellent service providers. Export specialists will support voucher-participating companies in establishing export strategies through individual consultations.
"This event is composed of practical programs that voucher-participating companies can immediately apply in export settings, including live commerce experiences, digital marketing strategy introductions, and legal consulting for overseas expansion," said KOTRA President Kang Kyung-sung. "We will actively support our companies in discovering new export opportunities and strengthening competitiveness amid global market changes, including the Middle East situation and U.S. tariffs."
