Samsung Electronics (005930) announced on the 5th that it has launched its 2026 inverter dehumidifier, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve energy efficiency by up to 30%.
Energy efficiency can be enhanced by activating "AI Saving Mode" through SmartThings, Samsung Electronics' Internet of Things (IoT) platform. The company explained that the new product is equipped with a "Digital Inverter Compressor" to minimize energy consumption.
Samsung Electronics has expanded consumer options by adding 12L and 23L large-capacity models to the existing 18L capacity model. A continuous drainage function was also added to maintain dehumidification during high-humidity conditions such as the monsoon season. While conventional dehumidifiers require periodic emptying of the water tank, connecting a drainage hose to the new product enables automatic drainage.
Samsung Electronics has enhanced the low-noise mode function to minimize noise generated by the dehumidifier. When this mode is activated, noise is reduced to 32 decibels, allowing comfortable use even during sleep. "We will continue to introduce products that enhance consumers' quality of life by providing a comfortable and healthy indoor environment throughout all four seasons with innovative technology," said Lim Sung-taek, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' DA Business Division.
