Lee Sedol, the UNIST distinguished professor who battled Google DeepMind's artificial intelligence AlphaGo in the match of the century a decade ago, will face off against AI once again after 10 years.
Agentic AI service development startup Enhance announced on the 3rd that it will hold a global AI campaign with Professor Lee on the 9th of this month. The campaign will take place at the Ara Hall of Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul—the same venue where the historic match was held 10 years ago in 2016.
Enhance plans to present a technological turning point signaling the commercialization of agentic AI, based on ontology that understands the relationship between human intent and data. Professor Lee will take the stage to converse with Enhance's AI agent, conceptualizing the future of Go on the spot and reconstructing a Go model in real time for the match. Anthropic, Nvidia, and Microsoft are participating as official sponsors of the event.
"At this very place where AI astonished humanity 10 years ago, we will prove that AI has now evolved into a partner that supports human intent and maximizes creativity," said Lee Seung-hyun, CEO of Enhance.
