GM Korea sold 36,630 vehicles in February, down 7.6% from the same month last year, the company announced on March 3. Domestic sales remained below 1,000 units for the second consecutive month following January.
By segment, overseas sales totaled 35,703 units, a 6.5% decline year-over-year. However, the Chevrolet Trailblazer, including derivative models, posted strong results with 13,004 units sold, up 7.8%. GM Korea said it expanded customer options by adding the "Midnight Black Edition" to the 2026 Trailblazer lineup.
The Trax Crossover, including derivative models, recorded 22,699 units in overseas sales during the same period. The company enhanced the 2026 model's appeal by introducing the RS Midnight Edition, new exterior colors, wireless software update capability, and an upgraded driver assistance system.
Domestic sales reached only 927 units, with the Chevrolet Trax Crossover accounting for 771 of those.
"Steady interest in Chevrolet's strategic models such as the Trax Crossover and Trailblazer continues to drive demand in global markets," said Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing at GM Korea. "We will expand opportunities for customers to experience our product competitiveness through special promotions in March."
Throughout March, GM Korea will offer various financing programs and cash and fuel subsidies to customers purchasing the Trax Crossover, Trailblazer, or the premium pickup truck Sierra. Customers who scrap older diesel vehicles and purchase a new Trax Crossover or Trailblazer will receive 300,000 won in cash support.
