Hyundai Mobis is strengthening communication and cooperation with its key supplier partners to solidify its global technology leadership in the future mobility market.
The company said Monday it hosted "2026 Partners Day" at Haevichi Hotel in Jeju, inviting approximately 230 representatives from major suppliers. Top executives including Hyundai Mobis President Lee Kyu-seok and Vice President Jang Ho-young, head of procurement, attended the event to reaffirm their commitment to mutual growth with partners.
"Whether we possess proprietary innovative technology is now the core criterion that determines survival for all of us," Lee said in his welcoming address. "Not only Hyundai Mobis but also our suppliers must pursue bold investments and proactive technology proposals."
At the event, Hyundai Mobis recognized 17 suppliers across 10 categories including quality, safety, new vehicle development, procurement, and mutual growth. The company also shared its mid- to long-term strategy and vision while reviewing key initiatives in quality management and industrial safety to strengthen partnerships with suppliers.
Since establishing its mutual growth master plan in 2010 and announcing its "Seven Beautiful Promises," Hyundai Mobis has continuously built cooperative frameworks with suppliers. The company operates various financial support programs including a mutual growth fund and cooperative loans while supporting suppliers throughout the entire process from parts development to mass production.
Over the past three years, Hyundai Mobis has provided 180 billion won ($130 million) to domestic suppliers for new product and technology development. Joint patent filings with suppliers have exceeded 850. Procurement payments to suppliers over the same period totaled approximately 150 trillion won.
Hyundai Mobis was named a "best" company in the Mutual Growth Index evaluation for seven consecutive years through last year.
