Hyundai Glovis (086280) is moving to capture logistics opportunities in the rapidly growing K-Beauty cosmetics industry. The company plans to fully expand its fulfillment services, providing one-stop integrated logistics solutions covering storage, packaging, and delivery.
Hyundai Glovis announced on the 9th that it has signed a third-party logistics (3PL) service contract with The Skin Factory, operator of hair and body care beauty brand "KUNDAL," and commenced full operations.
Under the contract, Hyundai Glovis will serve as a partner handling the entire logistics process for The Skin Factory products, from receiving and storage to packaging and shipping. The company will provide fulfillment services to domestic customers through its advanced automated logistics center in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The center is equipped with cutting-edge automation facilities including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). It features rapid and accurate processing capabilities suited for e-commerce environments with high volumes of small, diverse orders.
The smart logistics solutions and data-driven operating systems enable flexible responses to demand fluctuations. Safe storage and efficient shipping processes tailored to beauty product characteristics will also be supported.
Hyundai Glovis plans to serve as a partner for The Skin Factory's overseas market expansion, providing end-to-end (E2E) logistics services covering cross-border trade (CBT) logistics, overseas customs clearance, and air and sea export services.
The strategy aims to support Korean beauty brands' global market expansion by combining land, sea, and air logistics capabilities with an extensive global network.
Hyundai Glovis anticipates growth in the K-Beauty logistics market. As the K-Beauty wave intensifies overseas, the related logistics market is expected to expand accordingly. According to U.S. market research firm Allied Market Research, the global K-Beauty market is projected to reach $13.9 billion (approximately 20 trillion won) by 2027.
Hyundai Glovis has been building a "one-stop logistics platform" integrating domestic fulfillment centers with global transportation networks for business expansion. The company has secured logistics centers at major hubs worldwide and organically connected air and sea transport lines to assist Korean companies in overseas expansion.
Going forward, the company plans to establish itself as a key partner supporting global growth by providing integrated solutions ranging from country-specific customs clearance support for e-commerce companies to local last-mile delivery.
A Hyundai Glovis official said, "Based on our cutting-edge automation facilities, we can provide flexible and stable logistics services even amid cargo volume fluctuations." The official added, "We will become a partner responsible for both domestic and export logistics by enhancing customer productivity and contributing to logistics cost reduction."
