
Daishin Securities Co. reported a 47.7% increase in net profit for 2024, driven by higher brokerage commissions and improved interest income.
According to preliminary earnings disclosed on the 9th, the South Korean brokerage posted consolidated net profit of 213 billion won ($148 million) for the year, up from the previous year.
Operating profit surged 253.5% year-over-year to 295.5 billion won, while revenue rose 24.2% to 5.08 trillion won.
"Operating profit increased as brokerage commissions and trading gains grew, while interest income from corporate credit facilities also improved," the company said.
