CJ Logistics announced on the 21st that it has officially launched "ExBox," Korea's first artificial intelligence-based logistics service dedicated to exhibition cargo, in partnership with COEX.
ExBox is a specialized exhibition logistics service that implements AI-based automatic dispatching and route optimization, along with a milk-run collection and delivery operating system, by incorporating exhibition schedules, scale, handled items, and booth location information. Milk run refers to a system where a single vehicle visits multiple companies to collect and deliver goods, improving efficiency while reducing the number of operating vehicles and logistics costs. The two companies plan to provide one-stop support for the entire logistics process of participating companies, from exhibition preparation to post-event retrieval.
CJ Logistics will serve as the logistics control tower for ExBox, based on its network of approximately 880 distribution centers and 290 delivery networks nationwide. Through this, the company aims to reduce logistics costs for participating companies, ease congestion inside and outside exhibition venues, and create an eco-friendly exhibition logistics ecosystem by minimizing vehicle operations. COEX will actively encourage exhibition organizers and participating companies to use ExBox while gradually expanding service functions together with CJ Logistics' The Unban Group.
"Exhibition logistics is a key element directly linked to the efficiency and safety of event operations," said Kim Dong-wook, Head of Venue Business Division at COEX. "With the introduction of ExBox, we expect to alleviate parking congestion and improve service quality that both exhibiting companies and visitors can experience."
Choi Gap-ju, Head of The Unban Group at CJ Logistics, said, "We will strive to enhance venue safety and customer convenience through real-time status management of the entire exhibition logistics process and the establishment of dedicated personnel and systems." He added, "We will continue close cooperation with COEX to advance logistics services optimized for exhibition environments."
