Paseco, a global leader in camping heaters, announced Monday that it has significantly increased camping heater sales in Taiwan, a subtropical climate region.
The company reported that its camping heater sales in Taiwan grew fourfold year-on-year in 2024, despite the subtropical market's typically low demand for heating equipment. The growth resulted from strategic marketing efforts that capitalized on the rapid increase in Taiwan's camping population, particularly in auto-camping.
Paseco actively promoted camping heaters as essential gear, noting that many campsites in Taiwan are located at elevations above 1,000 meters where temperature differences between day and night are significant.
The company emphasized design differentiation that combines aesthetic appeal with space efficiency. Paseco highlighted its premium appearance and the world's only lifting structure mechanism. The camping heater maintains a stable height during use but can reduce its overall height by approximately 12 centimeters through the lifting function for easier vehicle loading and transport. This feature has proven competitive among Taiwanese campers who prioritize equipment efficiency and space utilization.
A premium strategy focused on safety has also driven results. Paseco camping heaters feature various safety designs that reduce fire risk, including an automatic extinguishing mechanism that activates if the lift is lowered while the heater is operating. Industry observers note that the company's technical expertise from over 50 years of camping heater production and its safety-focused premium approach have been effective.
Building on the potential confirmed in the Taiwan market, Paseco plans to continue strengthening its brand competitiveness overseas through strategies tailored to regional camping environments and consumer characteristics. The company aims to expand its position as a lifestyle brand that offers comprehensive camping experiences beyond simple heating equipment.
