Hana Financial Group is launching a credit card exclusively for senior citizens in partnership with the Korea Association of Senior Citizens.
The two organizations signed a business agreement at the association's Taepyeong office in Seoul on Thursday to expand customized financial services for the elderly.
Under the agreement, Hana Financial Group will introduce a co-branded card exclusively for association members. The card offers monthly discounts of up to 15,000 won ($11) for credit card users and up to 5,000 won for debit card users. Members who designate Hana Bank as their public pension receiving account will also receive cashback benefits of up to 50,000 won.
The group will also expand its product advisory services. Hana Financial Group plans to provide association members with guidance and support on comprehensive retirement financial solutions, including its flagship senior-focused product "My Home Pension," as well as pensions, asset management, and inheritance and gift planning.
"Through this partnership, we will go beyond simply offering products and expand our role as a financial companion that considers all aspects of seniors' lives," Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said.
