Dongyang Life Insurance (082640.KS) has launched a sales organization innovation by promoting employees in their early 30s to branch manager positions.
The insurer said Monday it is conducting sales manager training for employees in their 30s and 40s selected through open recruitment last month. By opening eligibility to headquarters employees with 5 to 10 years of tenure, a significant number of young employees in their early 30s were included among those selected, according to the company. After completing the training program this month, they will be assigned as branch managers and deputy branch managers at various branches starting January.
Dongyang Life expects the newly selected young sales managers to energize the organization by combining seniors' experience and expertise with fresh perspectives and digital-based sales techniques. The company also assessed that the move would have a positive impact on organizational culture innovation, including modernizing communication methods with employees and systemizing competency development programs.
Dongyang Life's initiative to nurture young sales managers is also aligned with the rapidly changing insurance industry environment. Analysts note that leadership with digital literacy has become necessary as online touchpoints expand and product structures become more complex.
