As the year-end holiday season approaches, services designed to spark anticipation for new beginnings are emerging one after another. According to industry sources on December 21, Beginz, a personality-matching dating app operated by HR platform Saramin, is running a "Love at Christmas" event through December 23 for the holiday season. The event is designed for users seeking new connections during the year-end and Christmas period, and participants can join by pressing the "Apply for Event" button within the Beginz app.
New members must complete the BLOOM test, which analyzes dating tendencies through 16 animal personality types, while existing members can participate after updating their profiles. The service recommends compatible partners based on the information provided. For new members, recommended matches appear on the home screen daily after 6 p.m., and users can chat for free for 24 hours through the blind chat feature.
Beginz is also expanding offline meetups in addition to online events. The company successfully held in-person dating events on December 6 and 20. The platform has built trust through a secure matching system based on identity and facial verification, the BLOOM test that reflects personality traits and values, and blind chat supporting anonymous conversations. The BLOOM test has surpassed 500,000 cumulative participants, and Beginz became the first dating app in Korea to obtain ISMS-P certification.
Ahead of the new year, services targeting job seekers preparing for employment have also emerged. HR tech company Incruit has launched its "2026 Job Fortune" service for the Year of the Red Horse. The service offers various fortune-telling content focused on employment and work life, including job fortune, Tojeong Bigyeol (traditional Korean fortune-telling), lifetime fortune, and daily fortune.
The service differentiates itself by focusing on elements job seekers and career changers are curious about, such as favorable dates for job offers or interviews, advantageous employment fields, and job posting recommendations that match one's fortune and compatibility. Incruit members can access the service for free through the website and mobile app.
