Audi has unveiled the E SUV Concept, its second China-exclusive blueprint, at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show. The model represents Audi's strategic move for survival and resurgence in China's rapidly evolving electric vehicle market, while also demonstrating the brand's strategy to differentiate between "Audi in global markets" and "Audi in the Chinese market."
Like the previously debuted E5, the E SUV Concept boldly removes Audi's iconic four-ring logo, featuring only the "AUDI" lettering on the front. This approach combines Audi's technology with China's EV expertise to enhance competitiveness in the electric vehicle market.
The E SUV Concept targets the large premium SUV segment. The vehicle measures 5,057mm in length, 2,042mm in width, and 1,786mm in height, with a spacious 3,060mm wheelbase that ensures exceptional interior roominess and maximizes vehicle utility.
The exterior applies "monolithic" aesthetics. The front features vertically arranged digital matrix LED headlights housed within a black roof housing, successfully establishing a confident new brand identity even without the four-ring logo.
The vehicle's technical foundation is the Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP), a next-generation intelligent platform jointly developed by Audi and SAIC. Built on 800V high-voltage architecture, the platform delivers both powerful performance and efficiency.
Equipped with dual motor systems on the front and rear axles, the vehicle produces a combined system output of 500kW (approximately 680 horsepower). Combined with Audi's signature quattro all-wheel-drive system, it accelerates from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in just five seconds.
Battery efficiency is also noteworthy. A 109kWh high-capacity battery enables a certified driving range of over 700 kilometers on a single charge under China's CLTC standard, while a 10-minute fast charge provides more than 320 kilometers of range, dramatically improving charging convenience.
Audi has equipped the vehicle with the AUDI 360 Driving Assistance System, developed through precise analysis of China's complex and unique traffic conditions. The system supports highway and urban driving as well as automated parking, providing passengers with a safe and comfortable mobility experience.
Audi plans to officially launch the production version of the AUDI E SUV Concept in 2026.
