CJ Olive Young announced Thursday it will launch a new wellness curating platform called "Olive Better" in response to the growing wellness trend that pursues harmonious balance between body and mind.
Olive Better will be Korea's first omnichannel wellness curating platform that bridges online and offline boundaries, with a launch scheduled for the first quarter of next year. The platform is designed to provide integrated management of habits, exercise, inner beauty, sleep and mental health, with products organized into six categories: Eat Well (inner beauty foods, healthy snacks), Fill Well (supplements), Move Well (nutritional supplements, fitness products), Groom Well (aromatherapy, dermacosmetics), Rest Well (sleep products, herbal teas) and Care Well (oral and hygiene products).
The first offline store will open in Gwanghwamun, a major business district in northern Seoul, with the second store to follow in Gangnam, a key commercial area. The Olive Young online mall will be implemented as an app-in-app service, recommending products tailored to individual lifestyles and concerns while providing wellness routine reminders. The company plans to offer content marketing linking online and offline channels, along with membership benefits in the future.
"Olive Young started as Korea's first health and beauty store and has realized its vision of 'healthy beauty' with health and beauty as its two pillars," a CJ Olive Young official said. "While Olive Young is a platform weighted toward 'beauty,' Olive Better will be a platform that expands this into the wellness category."
