GC MEDi AI (formerly UBcare), the digital healthcare platform subsidiary of GC (Green Cross), announced on the 6th that it will launch 'Uisarang AI,' an artificial intelligence (AI) care solution for hospitals, clinics, and medical staff nationwide.
Earlier, in March, GC Group changed the name of its subsidiary UBcare, which had handled the development and distribution of electronic medical records (EMR) for hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies, to GC MEDi AI, signaling its intention to leap forward as an AI-based digital healthcare company.
Uisarang AI reduces repetitive tasks throughout the entire care process—from checking a patient's past medical history to real-time record-keeping and searching for diagnoses and prescriptions—helping medical staff focus more on communicating with patients. Its distinguishing feature is that it improves care efficiency by combining the expertise of the existing EMR system 'Uisarang' with cutting-edge medical-specialized AI technology. Using speech-to-text (STT) technology specialized in medical terminology, the system records conversations between doctors and patients in real time. It then automatically organizes them into medical records in a format that distinguishes patient symptoms, medical staff assessments, and treatment plans, and analyzes these to suggest appropriate diagnosis codes and prescription candidates. The solution includes an AI assistant function that quickly summarizes and displays key content from medical records and test results accumulated over many years. Medical data is designed to be processed on GC MEDi AI's own infrastructure, strengthening the security and stability of medical information.
The company plans to lead the AI transformation of Korea's medical field by combining 'Uisarang AI' with a cloud EMR scheduled for release next year.
