The film franchise "Tazza" is returning with its final story. "Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub," a film adaptation of the original comic of the same name by author Huh Young-man, confirmed its release for this September's Chuseok holiday (Korean Thanksgiving) and unveiled its teaser poster and rival trailer on the 9th.
"Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub" is a crime film depicting the fierce showdown between Jang Tae-young (Byun Yo-han), who was riding high on the success of his online casino business, and his old friend Park Tae-young (Noh Jae-won), who took everything from him, as they meet again in the global gambling arena. The film captures how two men sharing the same name transform from friends into enemies, along with the intense psychological warfare driving their quest for revenge.
The final installment of Huh Young-man's "Tazza" series, the film carries forward the tension and thrill of high-stakes matches that defined the existing series, while promising an expanded scale set against the global gambling world centered on poker.
The teaser poster captures the taut confrontation between Jang Tae-young and Park Tae-young as they head toward different fates. The tagline — "The most trusted friend became the cruelest hand" — hints at the relationship of betrayal and revenge between the two characters, stirring curiosity about the story.
Beyond the two leads, the poster also features key characters including Kaneko (Miyoshi Ayaka), who moves the global gambling scene; Jo Jung-hwan (Yoon Kyung-ho), who upends Jang Tae-young's life; and Kwak Dong-wook (Jo Woo-jin), a legendary gambler who passes down the skills of poker — showcasing the film's rich character lineup.
The rival trailer, released alongside the poster, captures the character-driven play and tension-filled world of showdowns distinctive to the "Tazza" series. In the trailer, scenes of Jang Tae-young preparing his revenge at the poker table and Park Tae-young spitting out the line "A punk who's lived off luck could never understand" foreshadow the two men's extreme confrontation. Adding to the film's appeal, global actors including Kaneko, Chairman Tao (Hong Dao) and Sasaki (Ihara Tsuyoshi) join distinctive characters such as Kwak Dong-wook (Jo Woo-jin), Jo Jung-hwan (Yoon Kyung-ho) and Abraham (Moon Ji-hoon).
