Paradise City Hotel and Art Paradiso were both named among the world's top 1,000 hotels selected by the French hotel and gastronomy guide La Liste. Art Paradiso entered the ranking for the first time this year and also became the only Korean hotel to receive a special award in the design category.
According to Paradise on the 9th, La Liste announced its "World's Top 1,000 Hotels 2026" and the list of special award winners at the Le Meurice hotel in Paris on the 8th. Paradise City Hotel and Art Paradiso each scored 93.5 points, tying for sixth place. Paradise City Hotel made the list for the second consecutive year following last year, while Art Paradiso was selected for the first time this year.
The number of Korean hotels included in this year's world's top 1,000 hotels was 16, down five from 21 last year. Paradise placed two properties on the list simultaneously — Paradise City Hotel and Art Paradiso.
Art Paradiso also won the special "Style & Design Hotel Award." The award is given to new or renovated hotels with outstanding design, artistry, and architectural completeness, and six hotels worldwide were selected this year. Among Korean hotels, Art Paradiso was the only one chosen.
La Liste praised Art Paradiso for using contemporary art not as mere decoration but as the hotel's identity, and for composing its dark-toned spaces, lighting, and artworks into a consistent atmosphere. Other hotels that received the special award included The Emory in the UK, Capella Kyoto in Japan, and Mandarin Oriental Qianmen Beijing in China.
La Liste is a France-based evaluation body that ranks hotels and restaurants by analyzing major global media outlets and professional review data through its own algorithm. This year's hotel evaluation covered about 7,300 luxury hotels across more than 200 countries and regions.
"Following the two hotels being selected together among the world's top 1,000 hotels, Art Paradiso went on to win a special award as well," a Paradise City official said. "We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our integrated resort, which combines art, gastronomy, and entertainment."
