Hotel Shilla has completely revamped its official website and mobile application to streamline the booking process, the company said Tuesday. It also launched website-exclusive products and restructured its paid membership system.
The new website and app feature an "integrated booking bar" that allows users to search rooms across hotels at once, along with a "price calendar" for comparing room rates by date. A prepayment function was also added to reduce wait times on the day of check-in.
The company created a new "Experiences" section that provides tourism information about hotels and their surrounding areas. It introduces experience programs run by each hotel together with nearby tourist attractions and experience content.
Hotel Shilla also introduced discount packages that can be booked only through the official website for Shilla Rewards members. To differentiate itself from external booking channels such as online travel agencies (OTAs), the company plans to expand exclusive products and benefits offered through its official website and app.
Its integrated paid membership program "Shilla S" was subdivided from the previous two tiers into three tiers. Benefits for each tier were also adjusted.
To mark the website and app overhaul, Hotel Shilla is running a promotion through Dec. 31 of next month. Customers who book and stay through the official website and app will be entered into a drawing for prizes including a total of 22 nights of accommodation vouchers usable at 22 domestic and international hotels operated by Hotel Shilla. Eligible properties include The Shilla Seoul, The Shilla Jeju, Shilla Monogram, and Shilla Stay.
The company also unveiled an event offering the new paid membership "Shilla S Signature," as well as a package that doubles the number of stays counted toward membership tier calculations.
"Through this overhaul, we have improved booking convenience and expanded the benefits of our official channels," a Hotel Shilla official said. "We will continue to strengthen our services based on our official channels."
