Kumho Resort has revamped the breakfast menus at its four resorts nationwide to focus on regional delicacies for the summer vacation season. Targeting family guests, the company is also offering free breakfast for preschool children aged 7 and under, along with discounts for large groups.
Kumho Resort said Monday that it will introduce summer-season menus at its Seorak, Hwasun, Tongyeong and Jeju resorts, featuring buckwheat from Gangwon Province, local cuisine from South Jeolla Province, seafood from the southern coast, and Jeju specialty products.
Kumho Seorak Resort will operate the "Seorak Makguksu Lunch Special," consisting of mulmakguksu (cold buckwheat noodles), pollack sashimi makguksu, seasoned acorn jelly, and buckwheat pancakes from June through August. For breakfast, summer noodle dishes such as makguksu, soba, and kongguksu (cold soybean noodle soup) have been added.
Kumho Hwasun Spa Resort has prepared South Jeolla local cuisine and health foods such as Damyang bamboo rice and samgye nutritional porridge. Kumho Tongyeong Marina Resort offers southern coast seafood dishes including sea pineapple bibimbap, seafood palbochae, and conger eel gangjeong. Kumho Jeju Resort has added cuttlefish mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), sea urchin seaweed soup, black pork kimchi stew, and chicken fricassee made with Jeju-grown chicken.
Breakfast discount benefits are also being expanded. The resort is operating the "Dadaikseon Package," which provides one free breakfast when four adults use the breakfast buffet. It has also prepared the "Ijoa Package," offering free breakfast for one child when two adults dine. Both products are available only by advance reservation and are excluded during the peak season from July 17 to August 16. The offers run through December 31.
The free breakfast buffet benefit for preschool children aged 7 and under, which has been in operation since February, will continue. It can be applied by bringing supporting documents that confirm the child's year of birth, such as a resident registration certificate.
Kumho Resort is also renovating its rooms and facilities. Kumho Jeju Resort recently refurbished 43 rooms on its fourth floor. Hwasun Spa Resort and Jeju Resort operate the Aquana water park facility, while Tongyeong Marina Resort offers marine tours and yacht programs. At Seorak Resort, guests can enjoy park golf against the backdrop of Seoraksan's Ulsanbawi Rock.
"We have prepared seasonal menus that highlight regional characteristics, along with discount benefits for families," a Kumho Resort official said. "We will continue to improve our rooms and stay content to enhance the satisfaction of summer vacationers."
