Singer Kim Gun-mo will make his comeback by releasing a new single, "Where Am I Going," at 6 p.m. on July 1.
The new track marks his first release in 10 years since "50," the album commemorating his 25th debut anniversary, which came out in 2016.
Ahead of the single's release, Kim wrapped up his "25-26 Kim Gun-mo Live Tour" to great acclaim, breaking a six-year hiatus, with his final performance held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on March 21.
Throughout the tour, Kim had said, "I will approach the public by preparing a new album with the mindset of making my 'debut' again," and his sincerity toward the public is fully reflected in this new track.
The new single "Where Am I Going" is a remake of the title track from singer Jeon Young's first album, released in 1977.
In particular, the song carries special meaning as a "second starting point" in his musical career, as he set aside the "piano-playing Kim Gun-mo" familiar to the public and sang while playing the guitar himself for the first time since his debut.
Meanwhile, Kim Gun-mo's new single "Where Am I Going" will be released at 6 p.m. on July 1 through various online music platforms.
