The Hanok Heritage announced Friday that it has joined as an official partner of the "Explore Seoul with Connections 2026" program, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Connections, a global luxury tourism network.
The program is a global tourism event promoted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to foster the premium tourism industry. It allows luxury travel advisors and tourism industry officials from around the world to directly experience Korea's tourism content and exchange with the domestic tourism industry.
The Hanok Heritage operated the program together with the Gangwon Tourism Foundation. Luxury travel agency representatives and travel advisors from major countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Lithuania and Hong Kong stayed at The Hanok Heritage in Yeongwol, Gangwon, for three days and two nights, experiencing Korean gastronomy, wellness, hanok architecture and traditional culture content.
Participants enjoyed a special dinner by head chef Shin Dong-min at Monto, a Korean fine-dining restaurant. A Korean-style barbecue program was also held in the private courtyard of Yeongwol Jongtaek, a standalone space.
In the morning, a sound bath program combining the sounds of nature with meditation was offered. A hanok docent tour introduced the structure and spatial composition of traditional hanok, along with architectural features that harmonize with nature.
"We share the spirit of this program, in which Seoul City and Connections broadly highlighted even regional cultural assets to introduce the diversity and excellence of Korean culture to the world," said Cho Nam-hee, vice president of The Hanok Heritage. "We will continue to serve as a space that conveys the value of Korean culture to people around the world."
