LE SSERAFIM has set a new record by becoming the first fourth-generation K-pop girl group to land five consecutive albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, the main U.S. album chart.
According to a chart preview published by U.S. music outlet Billboard on May 31 local time, LE SSERAFIM's second studio album "PUREFLOW pt.1" debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 dated June 6. The album also topped the "Top Album Sales" chart. The new release tallied 34,000 in album sales and 7,000 in SEA (streaming equivalent albums).
With this achievement, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha and Hong Eun-chae) has placed five consecutive works in the Billboard 200 top 10, starting with first studio album "UNFORGIVEN" (No. 6), followed by third mini-album "EASY" (No. 8), fourth mini-album "CRAZY" (No. 7), fifth mini-album "HOT" (No. 9), and now second studio album "PUREFLOW pt.1" (No. 10). It is the only such record among fourth-generation K-pop girl groups, demonstrating the solid fanbase and consistent album competitiveness the group has built in the U.S. market.
"PUREFLOW pt.1" is an album that captures the change and growth that come after confronting fear. While LE SSERAFIM delivered the message "We are strong because we have no fear" in its early debut days, the group completes a narrative through this work that "we can become stronger because we know fear."
The album previously topped the weekly album charts on Hanteo Chart (tallying period May 18-24) and Circle Chart (tallying period May 17-23), and also claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Japan "Download Albums" chart.
The popularity of the title track "BOOMPALA" is also gaining momentum. The song has been steadily climbing the daily charts on major Korean music platforms including Melon, Bugs and Genie, while also making its presence felt overseas. It entered global streaming platform Spotify's "Daily Top Songs Global" chart for two consecutive days as of May 29-30. The track also landed on the "Worldwide iTunes Songs" chart and Apple Music's "Today's Top 100: Global" on its release day, maintaining its ranking ever since and continuing its global momentum.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM will kick off its second world tour "2026 LE SSERAFIM TOUR 'PUREFLOW'" with concerts in Incheon on July 11-12. The tour will feature the group's first solo concerts in Europe and span 32 shows across 23 cities including Korea, Japan, the United States, Europe and Asia. Through the stage, the members plan to convey the album's message — "We have come to know fear, but we will move forward nonetheless" — to fans around the world.
