BTS drew 840,000 fans across 15 shows in five cities in the United States and Mexico during the North American leg of its world tour "ARIRANG."
According to BIGHIT MUSIC on Monday, BTS sold out all seats in Tampa, El Paso, Stanford and Las Vegas in the U.S., as well as in Mexico City. Additional shows were added in Tampa, Stanford and Las Vegas due to high demand, and those tickets also sold out. At every concert, ARMY members gathered in BTS's signature purple outfits, holding banners featuring photos of their favorite members to celebrate "the return of the K-pop kings." Nearby merchandise shops drew long lines of fans seeking BTS goods such as T-shirts.
"BTS performed a setlist encompassing tracks from their new album 'ARIRANG' and the group's signature songs," BIGHIT MUSIC said. "The crowds that filled the venues sang along in Korean, raising the energy of the shows." The agency added, "The audience sing-along of the folk song 'Arirang' during the 'Body to Body' stage was the symbolic moment of this tour. A melody carrying Korean sentiment echoed through massive stadiums in the voices of tens of thousands of fans, demonstrating the power to unite people around the world."
Meanwhile, U.S. music publication Billboard reported that BTS topped the April "Top Tours" chart, generating $76.2 million (approximately 114.8 billion won) in revenue and selling 417,000 tickets across eight shows held in Goyang, Tokyo and Tampa during the month. The three shows in Tampa recorded the highest revenue and largest audience for any single venue in April.
Billboard also analyzed that the Tampa and El Paso concerts averaged $12.1 million (approximately 18.2 billion won) per show, an approximately 64% increase from BTS's previous U.S. concerts. BTS will meet domestic fans with concerts at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on the 12th and 13th of this month. June 13 marks BTS's 13th debut anniversary, and the members and ARMY are expected to share a meaningful moment together. The group will then launch its European tour in Madrid, Spain, on the 26th, before embarking on the second leg of its North American tour beginning in East Rutherford in August.
