
Light rain will fall across the country starting Saturday morning, the first day of the three-day Buddha's Birthday holiday.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, a weak trough will pass north of the Korean Peninsula between Saturday morning and afternoon on the 23rd, bringing less than 5 millimeters of rain nationwide. Skies will begin to clear from Sunday morning on the 24th, the second day of the holiday. Jeju, however, will remain cloudy.
On Sunday afternoon, ozone concentrations will reach "bad" levels across most of the central region, including the Seoul metropolitan area, the western Gangwon region, Sejong, North Chungcheong and South Chungcheong, as well as parts of the southern region, including North Jeolla, South Jeolla, North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang.
Morning lows on the 23rd are forecast at 10 to 16 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 18 to 24 degrees. Seoul is expected to see 15 degrees and 23 degrees, while Busan is forecast at 16 degrees and 21 degrees. On the 24th, morning lows are projected at 11 to 16 degrees, with daytime highs of 21 to 28 degrees.
