
The winning numbers for the 1,225th round of South Korea's Lotto were 8, 9, 19, 25, 41, and 42, with a bonus number of 33.
Donghaeng Lottery, the operator of the Lotto, announced the drawing results on Saturday. Thirteen first-prize winners matched all six numbers and will each receive 2,228,133,087 won.
Seventy-six second-prize winners, who matched five numbers plus the bonus, will each receive 63,521,338 won. The 3,333 third-prize winners, who matched five numbers, will each receive 1,448,432 won.
A total of 161,090 fourth-prize winners, who matched four numbers, will each receive a fixed prize of 50,000 won, while 2,705,194 fifth-prize winners, who matched three numbers, will each receive a fixed prize of 5,000 won.
First-prize tickets were sold at 13 outlets, including 12 automatic-selection outlets and one manual-selection outlet. By region, two outlets were in Seoul (Dasan-ro 33-gil in Jung-gu and Gasan Digital 1-ro in Geumcheon-gu), one in Incheon (Gyeongin-ro in Michuhol-gu), four in Gyeonggi Province (3.1 Manse-ro in Hwaseong, Osan-ro 190beon-gil in Osan, Sinhyeon-ro in Siheung, and Gyeongchun-ro in Namyangju), one in North Chungcheong Province (Heungdeok-gu in Cheongju), one in South Chungcheong Province (Baryeon-ro in Yesan), one in North Gyeongsang Province (Gyeongan-ro in Gyeongsan), and two in South Gyeongsang Province (Ungsang-daero in Yangsan and Gimhae-daero in Gimhae). One winning ticket was sold via the online lottery website, the Donghaeng Lottery homepage.
Prize money must be claimed within one year from the start of the payment period. If the final day falls on a holiday, claims can be made on the next business day.
First-prize winnings are paid at the NH Nonghyup Bank headquarters, while second- and third-prize winnings can be collected at any branch of NH Nonghyup Bank. Fourth- and fifth-prize winnings can be claimed at Lotto retailers nationwide. Regional Nonghyup branches do not handle prize payments.
Under the Lottery Tickets and Lottery Fund Act, any unclaimed prize money after the deadline is fully transferred to the lottery fund. The proceeds are used for public-interest projects.
