
Andy Weir's science fiction novel "Project Hail Mary" topped Yes24's overall bestseller rankings for the third week of May, marking its seventh consecutive week at No. 1.
Jim Murphy's "Inner Strength" came in second, with readers in their 30s and 40s accounting for 60% of its sales. Drawing attention at sixth place was "The Five Viscera and Six Bowels of a Mother with an Adolescent Child," an essay collection by Na Min-ae, a Seoul National University professor and the daughter of poet Na Tae-ju. Women in their 40s with adolescent children accounted for 72% of the book's purchases.
Print comic books continued to gain traction among younger readers. "The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Vol. 20 Double Special Edition" reached eighth place just two days after pre-orders opened on the 19th. Readers in their teens and 20s made up 69% of buyers. "Akira Momose's First Love Breakdown Vol. 5 Triple Special Edition," which ranked ninth, also drew 64% of its purchases from readers in their teens and 20s.
