MyRealTrip has joined hands with Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand to target Southern Hemisphere winter travel demand. The company is selling winter experience packages including skiing, hot springs, and snow-scenery cruises, timed to coincide with Korea's summer vacation season.
MyRealTrip said Monday it will run a New Zealand autumn and winter travel campaign through July 16. The campaign operates on a monthly theme basis, with Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand jointly participating.
May's lineup centers on outdoor travel products tailored to the autumn season. In Queenstown on the South Island, the platform is offering activity packages including bungee jumping, jet boating, and Milford Sound cruises. In Auckland on the North Island, it runs Hobbiton tours, Waitomo Caves exploration, and Waiheke Island sightseeing.
From June, winter season products will be strengthened. The company is targeting demand for ski and snowboard trips centered on the Remarkables and Cardrona ski resorts near Queenstown. The lineup also includes Rotorua hot spring trips and Milford Sound cruise itineraries that allow travelers to enjoy winter snow scenery.
During the campaign period, MyRealTrip will offer discount coupons for New Zealand tours and tickets, and will hold Air New Zealand round-trip ticket giveaway events once each in May and June. An event for customers who write travel reviews will also be operated.
Air New Zealand does not charge fuel surcharges on tickets departing from Korea. The airline operates daily flights via major Asian hubs including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Singapore, and Denpasar, and also offers free stopovers allowing travelers to stay in transit cities for a certain period.
