The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) announced Wednesday that it has appointed Lim Sung-hwan (pictured), director general of cultural industry policy at the ministry, as the 11th director of the National Hangeul Museum.
The National Hangeul Museum is an affiliated institution of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism responsible for the preservation, dissemination and promotion of Hangeul culture, including the collection, preservation, research, investigation, exhibition, education and exchange of artifacts and materials related to Hangeul and Hangeul culture. Located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, the museum opened in 2014.
