NOL, a travel platform operated by NOL Universe, has partnered with Taean County in South Chungcheong Province to launch a discount promotion for "companion travel" packages that allow travelers to walk along the beach and stay at lodgings with their pets.
NOL said on Thursday that it is distributing discount coupons worth up to 30,000 won on a first-come, first-served basis, which can be used at pet-friendly accommodations in the Taean area through May 5. The coupons are valid for stays between April 25 and May 24.
The promotion page also introduces local tourist attractions that visitors can enjoy with their pets. Information on pet-friendly destinations and festivals, including the Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo, Kkotji Beach, and Farm Camille, is bundled together.
The collaboration began in 2024 and has continued regularly each spring and autumn, marking its third year. During last September's promotion, transactions at pet-friendly accommodations in the Taean area rose 36% compared with the same period a year earlier.
"Taean is a leading pet-friendly travel destination that offers both beach walks and lodging infrastructure," a NOL Universe official said. "Through collaboration with local governments, we plan to expand demand and connect it to the revitalization of regional tourism."
