
As the prolonged U.S.-Iran war disrupts naphtha supply, concerns are deepening across the healthcare and industrial sectors. The government's pledge to prioritize naphtha allocation for producing medical consumables such as syringes and needles, as well as packaging materials including medication bottles and medicine wrapping paper, has partially eased shortage fears. However, wholesalers are passing rising costs on to retail prices, drawing cries of distress from frontline clinics and pharmacies.
