"This is my first time visiting Korea, and I'm even happier to be here with a film I love so much and am so proud of."
Meryl Streep, at a press conference for "The Devil Wears Prada 2" held at Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul on Thursday, revealed that her six grandchildren "talk about 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' every day," adding that "they seem to be heavily influenced by K-pop and K-culture."
Anne Hathaway, who joined the event, said "Korea seems to have many global advantages because the younger generation is leading its culture," adding "If I were a magazine editor conducting interviews, I would want to interview directors Park Chan-wook and Bong Joon-ho." This marks her return to Korea after eight years, following her 2018 visit for a cosmetics brand event.
"The Devil Wears Prada 2" is a sequel arriving exactly 20 years after the 2006 original. The film brings back beloved characters including Miranda (Meryl Streep), the editor-in-chief who has been protecting fashion magazine 'Runway'; Andy (Anne Hathaway), who returns as a journalist; and Emily (Emily Blunt) and Nigel (Stanley Tucci), who have led the fashion world from their respective positions over the past two decades.
