Yes24, a cultural content platform, announced on the 3rd that it will exclusively serialize author Bae Myung-eun's new work "Suspicious Oriental Clinic 2" through "Yes24 Original."
Published by TXTY, "Suspicious Oriental Clinic 2" is the sequel to "Suspicious Oriental Clinic," which has been exported to six countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The previous work also gained attention as Yes24 Original content, serialized through Crema Club before its official publication. After serialization, the book was published and rose to No. 1 in Yes24's Korean fiction category.
The new work follows the journey of Seung-beom, an oriental medicine doctor who treats ghosts, as he sets out to rescue the kidnapped bride of a mountain spirit. While maintaining the warm humanity and episode-driven healing narrative of its predecessor, the sequel adds a more dynamic adventure narrative. Yes24 said it expects the expanded world-building and diverse fantasy elements to offer readers a new level of immersion.
"Suspicious Oriental Clinic 2" debuted on May 27 as a "Yes24 Original" serialization on Crema Club, Yes24's e-book subscription service, and will be published every Friday through July 17.
To celebrate the serialization, Yes24's Crema Club has partnered with design stationery brand Composition Studio to host reader participation events. On the 30th, a "Premium Book Talk with Author Bae Myung-eun" will be held at Composition Studio's offline store in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
