Wavve Unveils Star-Studded April Lineup From IU-Byun Woo-seok Drama to Golf and Variety Shows

Wavve, a major South Korean online video streaming service (OTT), has unveiled a stellar April lineup featuring one of this year's most anticipated titles, "21st Century Grand Prince's Wife," along with KLPGA and KPGA golf coverage, and original variety shows. ◇KLPGA and KPGA Full Live Streaming Online — Enhanced Viewing With Dedicated Golf Section and Dolby Vision Wavve is launching a dedicated "Golf Section" to begin live streaming all Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) and Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) tour events. Starting with the KLPGA Tour "Rejuran Championship" in Thailand on April 12, the platform will live stream every KLPGA tour event throughout the season, including this month's domestic opener. Led by Jang Dong-min, a four-time survival show champion dubbed the "Survival GOAT," the show brings together Jin Jung-kwon, Hellmouth, and party representatives Park Sung-min (Democratic Party of Korea) and Kang Jeon-ae (People Power Party). The program generated explosive buzz, ranking No. 1 in new subscriber contribution within its first week. The cast also includes current affairs YouTuber Jung Young-jin, comedian Lee Yong-jin, and singer-actress Yewon. Wavve original drama "Reverse," set to premiere on April 17, is a mystery revenge thriller. The story follows "Myo-jin," who loses her memory after being caught in an explosion at a chaebol family's villa, as she recovers her memories to uncover the secrets of her suspicious fiancé "Jun-ho" and the truth behind the incident. The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy version of South Korea. It tells the fate-defying, class-breaking romance between a woman who has everything as a chaebol heiress but is frustrated by her mere commoner status, and a prince who is the king's son yet cannot have anything of his own. The pairing of IU (as Sung Hee-ju) and Byun Woo-seok (as Grand Prince Yi An), who rose to stardom through "Lovely Runner," has generated buzz since the production announcement. "The Seasons" is the first KBS late-night music talk show to adopt a seasonal MC format. Sung Si-kyung takes over as the program's ninth MC, following "10cm's Gentle Touch." In the premiere episode, singer Lee So-ra appeared on a broadcast for the first time in six years, delivering an extraordinary treat for the ears.
