"Run BTS," BTS's signature in-house content series, is returning after a three-year break.
BTS released a teaser video for "Run BTS 2.0" on the group's official YouTube channel at 9 p.m. on March 30. The comeback comes approximately three years after the special episodes aired in 2023. The news is welcome above all for fans who have been waiting to see the full group's chemistry again.
The teaser showed the members holding a content planning meeting ahead of the full launch of "Run BTS 2.0." The members discussed rapidly changing trends and proposed various ideas, raising expectations for the main series.
"Run BTS" is BTS's flagship self-produced variety series, running for approximately 10 years since its debut in 2015. Featuring a range of games and missions that showcase the members' humor and charm, the show has been beloved by ARMY — the group's global fandom — worldwide.
The numbers are overwhelming. A total of 155 episodes were released from 2015 to 2021, accumulating approximately 140 million views on YouTube. Separately, 10 special content episodes released in 2022 and 2023 surpassed 130 million views. The 2023 episode "Fly BTS Fly Part 1," in which the members tried flying yoga, alone exceeded 30 million views.
In 2024 and 2025, the momentum continued with the spin-off series "Run Jin." The solo variety show was conceived by member Jin as a heartfelt gesture to repay fans' love, carrying the spirit of "I can do anything." The show drew attention with appearances by top-tier guests including South Korean national team athletes, Japanese actor Matsushige Yutaka, and Hollywood star Tom Cruise. "Run Jin" also surpassed 100 million cumulative views, proving its unrivaled content power. Anticipation is building for the new ways "Run BTS 2.0" will connect with audiences as it returns on an even bigger scale.
Meanwhile, according to preview articles published by U.S. music trade outlet Billboard on March 30–31, BTS topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 4, following their No. 1 placement on the Billboard 200. On Spotify's weekly charts (March 20–26), the group swept the global "Weekly Top Albums," "Weekly Top Songs," and "Weekly Top Artists" rankings. In October, BTS will hold stadium concerts in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil in South America. All 46 shows — spanning Goyang, North America, and European tour legs — have sold out.
