BTS has claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart following its chart-topping debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart with its fifth studio album "Arirang," reaffirming the K-pop group's global presence once again.
Billboard announced in a chart preview article on Friday (local time) that the album's title track "SWIM" topped the Hot 100, beating out Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" and Olivia Dean's "Man I Need."
This marks BTS's seventh No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. Of the album's 14 tracks, 13 entered the Hot 100 — all except "No.29," which features the sound of the Sacred Bell of Great King Seongdeok. Among them were "Body to Body" (No. 25), "Hooligan" (No. 35), and "FYA" (No. 36). BTS's new songs accounted for 13% of the Hot 100, setting a new record for the most songs from a single album by a K-pop act to enter the chart.
