BTS is reportedly considering Busan Asiad Main Stadium as the leading venue for its June 12-13 concerts in Busan, according to industry sources.
Sources familiar with the matter said Wednesday that BTS's management has recently signed a venue rental contract for the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
Other locations including Bukhang (North Port) had also been discussed as potential concert venues, but the Asiad Main Stadium is seen as the strongest candidate due to security considerations and its capacity to accommodate 40,000 to 50,000 spectators. BTS previously performed at the same venue in October 2022. BTS's management is also reportedly reviewing additional venue rentals at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium and some facilities at BEXCO. The concert dates notably overlap with BTS's debut anniversary — the group debuted on June 13, 2013 — raising expectations that side events celebrating BTS and its fan base ARMY will be held at these venues.
Excitement is already building ahead of BTS's first concert in four years. Some accommodation prices in Busan have surged sharply, prompting the Busan Metropolitan Government to conduct immediate inspections of lodging establishments reported for price gouging. The city is also reviewing plans to temporarily open public accommodation facilities, including youth training centers, to help manage demand.
