Warm Spring Weather Continues With Highs Reaching 23°C

Thursday, March 26, will see warm spring weather continue, with midday temperatures climbing as high as 23 degrees Celsius.

Morning lows are forecast at 3 to 8 degrees Celsius, with afternoon highs of 16 to 23 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures nationwide are expected to hover around 20 degrees Celsius, including 19 degrees in Seoul, 22 in Chuncheon, 21 in Cheongju, 23 in Daegu and 20 in Busan. However, some areas including Chuncheon and Sejong will see morning temperatures drop below 5 degrees Celsius, resulting in a wide daily temperature range.

Skies will be mostly clear nationwide, but clouds are expected to increase from late afternoon. Dense fog may form along the west coast through the morning, requiring caution for traffic safety. Dry atmospheric conditions in the central regions and North Gyeongsang Province call for extra vigilance in wildfire prevention.

Fine dust concentrations are expected to reach "unhealthy" levels in most regions. The Yeongdong area of Gangwon Province is forecast to see "moderate" levels.

Sea waves will run high at 1.5 to 3.5 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea due to strong winds. Offshore waters, approximately 200 kilometers from the coastline, are expected to see wave heights of 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea.
